The \u00ab\u00a0Univers Mentor\u00a0\u00bb endowment fund, by decision of its board of directors of November 19, 2018, decided to place an order with the consulting firm Elsa Olu in Lyon for a Scientific and Cultural Project called \u00ab\u00a0PSC\u00a0\u00bb in professional jargon. <\/span><\/p>\n The realization of this type of study was initiated and required by the Directorate of Museums of France (DMF) to supervise the formidable movement of expansion of museums that characterized the years 1980-1990: creation of museums, construction and renovation of buildings, professionalization of staff and practices, spectacular increase in audiences, major exhibitions that are increasingly more expensive and more frequented, marketing approach, etc. <\/span><\/p>\n The aim of this order is therefore to nourish the reflection that must precede the creation of our future museum, expose the interest of the project and assess whether it deserves to be continued by defining the vocation of the museum and its development, through a document of general orientation which will define the strategies and major orientations of the museum, taking into account all of Mentor’s works left to the municipality.<\/span><\/p>\n The PSC is not an architectural or museographic program, much less a simple list of necessary surfaces and equipment.
