On Sunday June 27, 2021, a delegation of around fifty people, participating in the Design Parade in Toulon and Hyères, led by Mr. Jean Pierre Blanc, director of the villa Noailles, visited the Mentor property in Solliès Toucas.
This delegation was welcomed on site by Mrs. Isabelle Menut, cultural assistant of the municipality as well as by Mr. David Belmondo. Mrs. Michèle Cairety, collaborator for years of Mentor and the friends of the work of Blasco Mentor were also present.
The participants warmly thanked the members present for allowing them to visit Mentor’s home, which remains largely unknown to the general public.
We recall that the condition of Casa Nieves has deteriorated sharply in recent years and that a feasibility study for its rehabilitation is underway. This study is carried out jointly by the Univers Mentor endowment fund and the Municipality. It should be finished before the end of this year and we will be sure to report back to you.
At the same time, the search for the necessary funding continues.
